Prayer Devotion

Prayer
James 5:16 says, The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Prayer is the most powerful influence in the spiritual realm because when we pray, our prayers touch three worlds, Heaven, Hell and Earth. Our prayers pull at the heart of God in Heaven and cause Him to work on our behalf. God uses our prayers to bind evil and destroy the works of Hell. Our prayers also bring blessings to us and those who we are praying for here on Earth. Prayer is not limited by time and allows us to deal with our past, our present and our future. We can ask for forgiveness for things that we have done in the past or ask for help for the present situation that we or someone else is in. We can also ask for the guidance, direction and protection that we need for the future path that lays ahead of us. God has an open door to His throne room and gives all of us an invitation to come boldly to Him in time of need. Mark 11:24 tells us, What things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you will receive them. What an awesome promise from the ask. Most of the time we can’t comprehend that our prayers are in the process of being answered because we can’t see God at work. Too often we give up just before the answer comes. Although it can’t be seen or explained, FAITH works. So when we pray, we need to believe and when we truly believe, we shall have. When we talk to God, He has promised to hear us and answer our prayers. You can be confident that however He chooses to answer, He will have your best interest in mind. He will always give you the best when you allow Him to do the choosing and at the end of the matter you will be thankful. God loves you so trust in Him and know that even though the answer to your prayer seems to be delayed, it is already on its way.word of God. When we pray, believe, which sounds simple but sometimes we just say a prayer rather than praying with real faith. Prayer should be a reverent petition to God, not just words spoken out loud. For prayer to be effective you need to reach out in faith and request in the spirit. As you do, the answer will come. Awesome things happen when a simple prayer that is mixed with faith meets God. Jesus said when you pray, believe and you shall have. There is a time to believe and that is at the moment you ask.
